Request deletion of your GEMS account and the personal information associated with it. You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app to send a request.
Request account deletion
Send your request to Gibotel Company Limited at dev@gibotel.com, preferably from the email address registered to your GEMS account.
The email request option will be available after the contact address is added.
Subject: GEMS account deletion request
You can use the following message:
If the email button does not open your email app, copy the contact address, subject, and message into your preferred email service and send them there. Opening an email draft alone does not submit a request.
Do not include your password, verification codes, or identity documents in your initial request.
What happens next
- We review your request and may contact you to verify that you own the account. If you no longer have access to your registered email, explain this in your request so we can discuss another verification method.
- After verification, we aim to delete your account and associated personal information within 30 days.
- We confirm completion and explain any information that must be retained, the reason, and the applicable retention period.
Deleting an account is permanent. You will lose access to that account. Uninstalling GEMS or signing out does not delete your account or information stored on our servers.
Information covered by your request
Your request covers your account profile, account credentials, notification tokens, device-location records, and personal information in messages, photos, documents, attendance entries, and work or safety records associated with your account.
We delete the associated personal information, subject to the limited retention reasons described below. Where service providers process that information on our behalf, we also request its deletion from those providers.
Information that may be retained
- Required legal records: Specific records may need to remain for a legally required period. We explain the relevant records, reason, and retention period when responding to your request.
- Security and fraud prevention: Limited information may be retained where necessary for these purposes. We explain what is retained, why, and for how long.
- Completed business and safety records: Where a legitimate legal or security requirement applies, relevant records may be retained for up to 24 months after completion, or for a longer period required by law. Personal identifiers are removed where possible. This does not automatically exempt all work records from deletion.
- Backups: Deleted information may remain in backups for up to 90 days after removal from active systems.
Information retained for a specific requirement is used only for that purpose.
